Rizzo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Frank Sherm's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Rizzo! Sherm is backing up but he can't get away as Rizzo lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Sherm and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Kid kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Go to sleep. Skwigelf has chosen Bloodrocuted as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Skwisgaar Skwigelf was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid stuffs the takedown.

Kid goes for a takedown in the clinch but Skwigelf prevents it.
Skwigelf looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Skwigelf bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skwigelf is looking to take a break and control but Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skwigelf has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kid is proving hard to escape from.

Kid lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Skwigelf is squirming around, avoiding Kid's attempts to control the action.

Kid is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Skwigelf has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Kid prevents Skwigelf from standing back up.
Kid tries to pass to full mount but Skwigelf defends it.

Skwigelf kicks Kid off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Skwigelf shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Skwigelf was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kid keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kid sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Skwigelf wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kid keeps working.

It looks like Skwigelf is going to stand back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Skwigelf shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kid pinned against the cage. Kid gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Skwigelf shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kid is trying to defend but Skwigelf finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Skwigelf seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Skwigelf is breathing heavily.

Kid wants to control but Skwigelf is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Skwigelf is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Kid is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Skwigelf's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Skwigelf's back!

Kid lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Kid.

Kid is looking for the choke from the back position but Skwigelf is controlling his hands well.
Skwigelf is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kid.
Skwigelf manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kid's guard. Nice work there by Skwigelf.

Kid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Skwigelf gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
