And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gamble closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Gamble wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Gamble stopping the sweep attempt from Silva.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Silva holds on and takes a little breather.
Gamble has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gamble thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Silva wants to control from the top but Gamble keeps moving.
Gamble will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gamble avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Silva won't allow Gamble to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gamble paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gamble avoids a punch combination nicely.

Gamble gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gamble had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Gamble is keeping the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gamble throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Silva throws a series of punches but Gamble moves out of range.
Gamble scores with a head kick. Silva tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Gamble, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Gamble against the cage but Gamble circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gamble.
Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva has a takedown stuffed.
Trevor Gamble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Silva.

Gamble rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Trevor Gamble will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Silva motions for Gamble to come forward. Silva throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gamble feinted with a counter takedown.

Gamble gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gamble is proving hard to escape from.

Silva cracks Gamble with a big elbow.
Gamble is not content to let Silva control the position.
Gamble tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it.
Gamble sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Silva seems to be working for a kimura but Gamble defends the submission attempt.
Gamble is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gamble pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gamble to get to his feet.

Gamble has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Silva is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gamble to keep the fight standing.
Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gamble pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Gamble stalling in the clinch but Silva improves position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Gamble get back to his feet.

Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gamble was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gamble tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.

Gamble's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Trevor Gamble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Silva.

Gamble shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gamble showed some decent athleticism there.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gamble is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.

Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Gamble instigates a clinch.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gamble closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Silva quickly recovers to half guard.
Silva is controlling Gamble's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Silva is not content to let Gamble control the position.

Silva wants to get back to full guard.
Silva is doing well to control the position and prevent Gamble from advancing to side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Gamble feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Gamble changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva wriggles free and stands up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gamble circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gamble shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva's guard.

Silva is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gamble presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jake Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
