Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ezekial Sallad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinn Marion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marion comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jay-Z - Welcome to New York City kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Quinn Marion will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Hawks circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Akin to the canvas! Akin doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Hawks keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Kalir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of George Kalir.

EL Matador shoots in and bounces Kalir off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that George Kalir will probably get the nod.

EL Matador got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kalir has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, EL Matador has managed to get both his arms back between Kalir's legs - danger averted.

Kalir has his foot on EL Matador's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. EL Matador works his way back into a safe position though.
Kalir thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

EL Matador is sitting in close to Kalir's body. Kalir has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! EL Matador is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, EL Matador is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kalir.
