The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Homo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Xiaodong momentarily.
Xiaodong looks to score with a jab to the body but Homo is just out of range.
Ecce Homo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Homo both land. Nice combination.
Xiaodong throws a poor cross that misses
and Homo counters with a straight right hand.
Homo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

I was talking to Homo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

A big right from Xiaodong misses.
Homo tries to close the distance and clinch but Xiaodong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Homo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Xiaodong's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Homo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Xiaodong scrambles back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ecce Homo is winning the standup battle so far.
Xiaodong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

I think Unknown might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ennio Morricone. Cannabino is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ludacris - Blueberry yum yum. Unknown has his foot on Cannabino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cannabino works his way back into a safe position though.

Unknown has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cannabino should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Unknown has tightened it up now! Cannabino should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Manco Unknown decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
