Soons Sam had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Blunt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Junior moves away.
Junior stuffs the takedown.
Junior throws a nice looking combination but Blunt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Blunt tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Blunt shoots in looking for a takedown. Junior tries to sprawl out of it but Blunt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Junior manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blunt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Junior was covering up waiting for the punch and Blunt finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Junior will probably get the nod.

Junior throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blunt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Blunt doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Junior counters with a huge left! Blunt is in big trouble! He's backing up but Junior isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Blunt from any more damage. A dominating finish by Junior!

A relieved looking Joe Junior thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
