Point misses with a straight right.
Point defending well as Puno loads up on a big left hand.
Point throws a body punch but Puno moves out of range.
Puno fails to land with a series of punches.
Puno uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Point.

Puno drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Puno's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Puno postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Point is adopting a defensive guard.
Point looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Puno throwing strikes but missing.
Puno wants to pass the guard but Point is keeping the position.
Puno wants to control from the top but Point keeps moving.

Point controls Puno momentarily but Puno frees himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Puno dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Puno connects with a jab.

Puno shoots in and gets a takedown into Point's guard.
Point controlling the position.
Puno wants to control from the top but Point keeps moving.
Puno throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Puno distracts Point with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Point working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Puno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Puno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Point is pulling down on Puno's head. It's preventing any offense from Puno, at least for the moment.

Point keeping full guard, as Puno tries to pass.
Puno trying to control the position from guard on top but Point is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Puno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Point swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Point working for a triangle but Puno defends it easily.
Puno is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Point trying to keep a closed guard but Puno is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Puno lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Point wants to clinch.

Point has closed the distance and engaged Puno in a clinch.

Puno manages to break the clinch.

Point throws an overhand right that lands on Puno's shoulder, as Puno tries to avoid the shot.
Puno tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Puno scores with a decent looking hook.
Puno connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Point momentarily.
Good standup being displayed there by Puno as he connects with a hook.
Point throws a hook to the side of Puno's head but Puno sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Puno clobbers Point with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Puno shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Point as he jumps to the side.
Puno lands the left hand.
Puno uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Point.
The fighters circling - Point throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Point on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The fight stays on the outside here - Point looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Puno steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Point.

Puno changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Point looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Puno is looking to take a break and control but Point is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Manny Puno is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I think Puno has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
