The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gross shoots in and drives through. Yadav sprawls well.

Gross closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gross has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Yadav regains guard immediately.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gross manages to get his head free but now Yadav has transitioned to an armbar! Gross grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Yadav! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
