Boxing Champ tries to close the distance and clinch but Sonnen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sonnen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boxing Champ to the mat! Boxing Champ manages to get full guard.
Boxing Champ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sonnen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Boxing Champ has momentary wrist control but Sonnen slips an elbow through the middle.

Sonnen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boxing Champ is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sonnen, into his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sonnen looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Boxing Champ can't hide his disappointment, as Sonnen celebrates the victory.
