Cruz stalks Smurder and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Smurder's face. Smurder staggers backwards, shaken.
Smurder tries to clinch but Cruz moves out of range.
Cruz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Smurder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cruz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Smurder has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smurder there as he acknowledges the shot.
The crowd cheers as Cruz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Smurder doesn't seem phased though.
Cruz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smurders jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smurder walks straight into a right hand from Cruz - that's dropped him! Cruz jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Smurder from any more punishment! Smurder complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
