The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gascoigne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beardsley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gascoigne feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Beardsley sprawling to the canvas! Beardsley rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gascoigne finish him?!

That has opened up Peter Beardsley's cut even more.

The cut above Peter Beardsley's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Beardsley might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
No joy there for Beardsley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Peter Beardsley's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Paul Gascoigne spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
