HW wants to clinch up but Smalls keeps it at a distance.
Smalls fires out a quick counter leg kick but HW just manages to avoid it.
Smalls swats away the attempt to clinch by HW.
Grapple HW seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Quintero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Park darts in and clinches Quintero up against the cage.
Quintero tries to score a body lock takedown but Park shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Quintero misses with a takedown attempt - Park sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Quintero looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Park is fending him off so far but Quintero persists. Nope, Park circles away and we're back to standing.
Jung Ho Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Quintero.

Quintero closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Park quickly recovers to half guard.

Quintero passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Park!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Magomedov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Magomedov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Artag looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Magomedov puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Artag gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Magomedov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Artag can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Magomedov controls the pace.

Well Magomedov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
