Batts comes to the cage accompanied by Midnight City - By: M83. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Noir!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noir misses with a hook
and Batts counters with a good low kick that Noir was not able to check.
Noir throws a left and a right that both miss
and Batts counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Batts drops his hands momentarily and Noir takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Batts throws a lazy head kick
and Noir counters with a nice body shot.
A head kick by Batts misses
and Noir counters with a stiff right hand.
Batts throws a nice outside leg kick.
Batts throws a low kick but Noir moves out of range easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Noir misses.
Noir walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Batts throws a leg kick which misses Noir's front leg but catches the back leg as Noir tries to avoid it.
Batts uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Noir.
Batts changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Batts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Noir moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Batts is posturing up here but Noir has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Batts tries to roll out but it's too tight and Batts has to tap! Slick submission there by Noir!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Barros tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bianchi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
De Barros loads up on a big right hand but Bianchi slips the punch.
Bianchi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from De Barros.
Bianchi tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
De Barros doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
De Barros has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio in the buildup to the fight.

De Barros tries to clinch there but Bianchi circles away.
De Barros fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bianchi avoids it really well and circles away.

Bianchi gets caught flat footed, as De Barros shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
De Barros stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bianchi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

De Barros has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bianchi finds it's way round the side to connect with De Barros's head.

Bianchi is looking for a sweep. De Barros is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bianchi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bianchi holds on and takes a little breather.

De Barros has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bianchi has worked his way into a potential kimura here. De Barros is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bianchi yanks on the arm and De Barros is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bianchi.
