Popper slaps away a takedown attempt from Ivanov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Popper feints and then cracks Ivanov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ivanov down.

Ivanov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ivanov showed some decent athleticism there.
Ivanov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Popper's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ivanov wants to work for an arm triangle but Popper is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
