McGuire closes the distance and pushes Eighteen back into the cage.

McGuire lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
McGuire lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Eighteen tries to land a knee to the head but McGuire blocks with his arms.

Goon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goon tries to avoid it but Pio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goon to the ground. Goon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pio closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Goon did well to prevent Pio getting side control.

Goon is defending against the submission attempts here by Pio.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goon throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Pio's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Goon dives in looking to finish as Pio flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Goon's strikes! Goon is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Pio's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Pio was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
