The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pomff manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Arsenyev on his heels. He'll look to pass Arsenyev's guard now, I'm sure.

Pomff's coach down at Tycoon Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pomff's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Arsenyev lands a big head kick that sends Pomff tumbling to the mat! Arsenyev takes a step backwards and waves Pomff back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Arsenyev looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Arsenyev backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Pomff's temple! It sends Pomff violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Arsenyev celebrates and the doctors try to help Pomff!

Yuri Arsenyev spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hop tests Maximus's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like DJ Maximus has been cut.
Hop connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hop throws a quick inside leg kick.

Maximus lands a big head kick that sends Hop tumbling to the mat! Maximus takes a step backwards and waves Hop back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Hip Hop has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hop misses with a low kick.
Hop throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Maximus on the side of the head.

and Maximus counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Hop out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Maximus is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.

After the fight, DJ Maximus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
