The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos throws a nice looking combination but Fagundes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fagundes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Santos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fagundes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Santos.

Santos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pendergast jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pendergast misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pendergast clobbers Cigano with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cigano scores with a sloppy right hand. Pendergast should have avoided that one.
Pendergast throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pendergast rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cigano moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pendergast throws a series of punches but Cigano moves out of range.
Cigano thows a body shot but no joy.
Mike Pendergast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pendergast scores with a shot to the body.
Pendergast thuds his right hand into Cigano's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pendergast lands a left and a right that send Cigano crashing to the mat, dazed. Pendergast thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Junior Cigano has been cut.
Pendergast misses with a two punch combination.
Pendergast fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pendergast feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cigano sprawling to the canvas! Cigano rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pendergast finish him?!

Cigano throws a lazy right hand but Pendergast sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pendergast lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
