The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurri shoots in but Marquez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Marquez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kurri.
Marquez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kurri shoots in and drives through. Marquez sprawls well.
Marquez feinted there with a counter leg kick.

We've been hearing good reports from Marquez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Tatu Kurri decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.

and Raper makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Raper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zabirov. That did some damage!
Zabud Zabirov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raper turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Raper lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Zabirov misses with a looping right.
Raper lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Raper moves out of range of the body kick from Zabirov.
Raper grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Zabirov takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Raper cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
