The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A right hook to the body lands for Jones.
Dani tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Dani gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dani drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jones lands a lovely overhand right.

Jones forces Dani back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dani is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jones has managed to clinch.

Jones makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Dani is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dani just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jones's brow.

Jones digs a right hand underneath Dani's ribcage. Dani let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Jones is pressed up against the cage. Dani has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dani throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Dani will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Dani tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Dani back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Dani seems to have recovered his senses.

A relieved looking Phobo Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emkimp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Waddell is controlling Emkimp's trapped leg to prevent Emkimp from advancing to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Waddell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Waddell should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Blackman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thompson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thompson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Blackman's closed guard. He's half up but Blackman has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Blackman pivots and extends the arm, Thompson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Blackman! Well done that man!

Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Snicket is trying hard to land a takedown here. Anderson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Anderson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snicket throws a right and a left that Anderson avoids nicely.
Snicket shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Snicket stalks Anderson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Anderson's face. Anderson staggers backwards, shaken.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Snicket as he avoids it easily.

Snicket throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anderson.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Snicket will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Anderson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Snicket is proving hard to escape from.

Snicket looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Anderson has picked Snicket up and slammed him! Snicket can't keep hold of the triangle and Anderson manages to pass to side control!

Anderson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Smith feints a jab promting Neves to slip. Smith then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Neves slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Smith lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Neves at a distance.

Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Neves keeps moving and retains side control.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Swango lands a left and a right that send Steiner crashing to the mat, dazed. Swango thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like John Steiner has been cut.

and Swango counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steiner thinking.

and Swango counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Steiner off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Swango follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Steiner was out before he hit the floor.
