Barbados kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is What's It All For. MacLeod closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juan Marfaker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Marfaker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

MacLeod scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
MacLeod tries to score with some ground and pound. Marfaker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

MacLeod looks up at the clock and then as Marfaker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, MacLeod smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

It looks like Juan Marfaker has been cut.

MacLeod postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Marfaker is not content to let MacLeod control the position.
MacLeod is thwarting Marfaker's attempts to control the position.
MacLeod is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
MacLeod trying to control but Marfaker is working from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells MacLeod's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
MacLeod has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marfaker looking to hit a scissor sweep but MacLeod is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
MacLeod throws a big right hand that misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacLeod stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marfaker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

MacLeod drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and MacLeod jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

MacLeod shoots in for a takedown but Marfaker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Marfaker throws a hook but MacLeod blocks it.
Juan Marfaker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Marfaker, as that shot connected.
Marfaker is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Marfaker - that will leave a mark!
Marfaker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
MacLeod shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marfaker sprawls well. Marfaker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MacLeod gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice side step and Marfaker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Marfaker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but MacLeod was well out of range. Poor timing from Marfaker.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor MacLeod. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marfaker throws a head kick but MacLeod moves out of range.
A lazy left from Marfaker finds it's target.
MacLeod will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Marfaker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marfaker keeps MacLeod at a distance using the push kick.
MacLeod is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Marfaker.
Marfaker scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
MacLeod misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from MacLeod.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

MacLeod ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Juan Marfaker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Marfaker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
