The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldridge fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Aldridge pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Erling Koch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koch throws out a loose jab but Aldridge uses good head movement to avoid it.
Koch throws a hook to the side of Aldridge's head but Aldridge sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Aldridge throws a lazy head kick
and Aldridge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Aldridge throws a right and a left that Koch avoids nicely.
Koch stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Aldridge.

No joy there for Koch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Koch fails to land with a series of punches.
Good work by Koch as he checks the leg kick.
Aldridge throws a head kick that misses.

Aldridge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Koch throws the left hand but Aldridge avoids the punch easily.
Aldridge throws a sloppy head kick and Koch moves out of range easily.

Koch chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Aldridge can pounce on him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Aldridge has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Koch misses with an uppercut. Aldridge saw that one coming.
Aldridge lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Aldridge lands with a kick to the temple. Koch shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Aldridge throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Koch colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Aldridge as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Koch is left battered and dazed whilst Aldridge and his camp cheer!

Hughes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but PinkHole was well out of range. Poor timing from Hughes.
Horrible takedown attempt by PinkHole or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad.

and PinkHole counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

PinkHole postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hughes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of PinkHole, into his guard.

PinkHole throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hughes escapes and throws PinkHole's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
PinkHole manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hughes's best efforts.

PinkHole has his foot on Hughes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hughes works his way back into a safe position though.

PinkHole manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hughes manages to get himself to full guard.

Hughes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but PinkHole has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hughes is looking to defend but PinkHole has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hughes! PinkHole pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hughes taps out and this one is all over!

Wrecking Ball has hold of one of Randy's legs. Randy is fighting the takedown attempt but Wrecking Ball gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Wrecking Ball is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Randy is just riding it out for now. Wrecking Ball eventually gives up the hold.

Randy is not content to let Wrecking Ball control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
