We've been hearing good reports from Mcstucking's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Omerika must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Omerika content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Mcstucking has locked up a guillotine! Mcstucking's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Omerika is holding on here and Mcstucking must be using up a lot of energy. Omerika has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Mcstucking gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

That was a close round but I would say that Deez Nuts will probably get the nod.

Nuts shoots in looking for a takedown. Strap tries to sprawl out of it but Nuts keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Strap manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nuts seems to have got his legs back now.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr A Hedgeh (ranked 981 p4p, 147 weight class) and Pat Yaj (ranked 837 p4p, 126 weight class). Hedgeh comes to the cage accompanied by Dr Who?. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dr A Hedgeh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pat Yaj!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hedgeh fails to land the takedown.
Hedgeh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yaj pinned against the cage. Yaj gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Yaj walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Yaj misses with a left hand
and Hedgeh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Yaj avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Yaj scores with a sloppy right hand. Hedgeh should have avoided that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hedgeh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yajs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Hedgeh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yaj on his heels. He'll look to pass Yaj's guard now, I'm sure.

Yaj is rocked!

Yaj is working an open guard so Hedgeh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yaj cracks Hedgeh with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Dr A Hedgeh has been cut.
Hedgeh throws a hook but Yaj avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hedgeh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yaj tries to avoid it but Hedgeh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yaj to the ground. Yaj escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dr A Hedgeh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yaj scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Yaj tests Hedgeh's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hedgeh falls off balance throwing a combination
and Yaj counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
No luck for Hedgeh with that takedown attempt.
Hedgeh tries to clinch but Yaj is having none of it.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Yaj! Hedgeh is out on his feet! Yaj rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hedgeh is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hedgeh is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
