Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Syracuse (ranked 7747 p4p, 636 weight class) and Aguta Grizzly (ranked 6118 p4p, 592 weight class). Joshua Syracuse had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Joshua Syracuse has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wesley Whitaker will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wesley Whitaker .
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Whitaker , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Shinker lands a left and a right that send Tots crashing to the mat, dazed. Shinker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Dukey Tots has been cut.
Shinker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tots.
Shinker has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shinker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shinker feints a jab and as Tots dips his head, Shinker unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Tots right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Tots falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Shinker smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Dryll covers up and Peterson unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A very excited looking George Peterson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joey Hatton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hatton is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hatton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mfer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hatton somewhat.

Hatton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mfer can pounce on him.
Hatton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hatton there as he acknowledges the shot.

Mfer drops Hatton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hatton looks back up at him and smiles so Mfer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Hatton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hatton has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mfer.
Mfer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mfer.

and Mfer counters with a huge left! Hatton is in big trouble! He's backing up but Mfer isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hatton from any more damage. A dominating finish by Mfer!

Shorton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Friedman, as that shot connected.
Friedman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Shorton drops Friedman with a beautiful combination! Friedman stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shorton is looking for the KO!
