Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Falcao (ranked 3904 p4p, 400 weight class) and Shaka Johnson (ranked 4282 p4p, 418 weight class). Johnson has chosen Mandoza - Nkalakatha as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Shaka Johnson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a jab when Falcao was well out of range.
Johnson fails with the takedown
and Falcao counters with a nice uppercut.
Falcao throws a head kick that half lands.
Falcao lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Johnson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Falcao.
Falcao jabs Johnson right on the nose. Johnson blinks but takes it well.
Johnson's coach down at Rabid Reindeer Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Johnson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Johnson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Falcao looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Johnson has picked Falcao up and slammed him! Falcao can't keep hold of the triangle and Johnson manages to pass to side control!
Falcao is trying to escape the position but Johnson is controlling the position.
Johnson cracks Falcao with a big right hand but Falcao just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlos Falcao.

Bastard takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nevez.

Tsuruta throws an overhand right that lands on Morus's shoulder, as Morus tries to avoid the shot.
Morus is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Tsuruta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Morus.
Morus tries to move into range but Tsuruta moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Morus walks into a stiff left hand from Tsuruta.
Tsuruta fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Morus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Morus scores with a crisp jab that stopped Tsuruta in his tracks.
Tsuruta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Morus.
It looked like Morus was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Tsuruta moves into the clinch.

Tsuruta can't find room to land a body shot as Morus controls the action.

Tsuruta gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Morus points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Tsuruta wakes up just in time to hear Morus thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

An out of breath Gargan Morus thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
