The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weight lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Weight slips a jab and a cross from Batukayev.
Weight cracks Batukayev with an open hand slap.
Weight digs a good hook to Batukayev's body.
Weight with a jab.
Batukayev misses with a takedown attempt - Weight sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Weight leaves Batukayev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Weight has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Batukayev.
Batukayev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ziyardi Batukayev. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Weight drops Batukayev onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Batukayev is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Under gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hammond.

It looks like Michael Under has been cut.
Under shoots and misses
letting Hammond counter with a right hand.
Under closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hammond circles away.
Under shoots in looking for a takedown. Hammond tries to sprawl out of it but Under keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hammond manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hammond's coach down at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hammond's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Under. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hammond stuffs the takedown attempt from Under. Under gets slowly back to his feet.
Under throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hammond.

Van Antwerpen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

McStafferson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Van Antwerpen rolls with it to try and escape but McStafferson cranks on the arm and Van Antwerpen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Oreiro has his takedown stuffed
enabling Knuckles to counter with a crisp jab.
Oreiro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
No luck for Oreiro with that takedown attempt.
A lazy left from Knuckles finds it's target.
Oreiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knuckles's waist but Knuckles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oreiro off to one side.
Bobby Knuckles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Oreiro.

Knuckles is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

House throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bears head.
House tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

House lands a nice shot to the body.
House can't find room to land a body shot as Bear controls the action.

Yaj cracks Sumberadem with a left hook right on the temple and Sumberadem goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Yaj lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Sumberadem is OK!

and Conford moves into the clinch.
Conford lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Costa backwards.
Costa tries to pull guard but Conford holds him up against the cage and eventually Costa drops back down to his feet.

Costa is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Conford is defending well.
Andrew Conford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borrachinha Costa .
Conford lands a shot to the body.
Conford throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Costa s head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Costa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Conford smiles and moves away.
Conford cracks a nice hook into Costa 's ribs.

Costa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Conford connects with a body shot that sends Costa 's belly button to the back.
Horrible takedown attempt by Costa or perhaps it was just good defense by Conford, which made it look bad.
Conford swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Conford cracks a nice hook into Costa 's ribs.
