Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bogdan Uzun (ranked 7439 p4p, 210 weight class) and Pound Land (ranked 8287 p4p, 218 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Uzun might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Trogdor the Burninator" by Strong Bad. Land is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Poundland.. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Land throws a leg kick that misses.
Uzun throws a looping overhand right but Land ducks down to avoid it.
Uzun fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Land looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Land misses with a body shot.
Uzun moves out of range of the body kick from Land.
Land misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Land looks to land a right hand but Uzun moved out of range.
Uzun went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Uzun lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Uzun stalks Land and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Land's face. Land staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Pound Land has been cut.
Uzun feints and then cracks Land's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Land down.

and Land counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Bogdan Uzun has been cut.
Land looks to throw the jab but Uzun is out of range.
Land throws a front kick aimed at Uzun's knee but Uzun avoids it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Land shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Uzun's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Land accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bogdan Uzun's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Uzun on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Uzun tries to get out of the position.
Land advances to half guard.
Still in half guard, Land seems content to control.
Land has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Land is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Land is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Uzun!
Uzun knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Land on the ground.

Brian gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Brian tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Grizzly is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Brian buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Brian!! Brian is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Grizzly throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Stephenson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schmitz as he avoids it easily.
Schmitz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stephenson.
Schmitz tries to counter by clinching up but Stephenson breaks away and moves out of range.
Uwe Schmitz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Stephenson.

Schmitz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stephenson is working away from the top position though.

Stephenson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Schmitz has managed to free his arm - good work.

Putsok will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
