The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago misses with a head kick.
Drago tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Drago stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson blocks the body kick.
Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Drago rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Drago won't be happy with that.
Johnson is working Drago over with some ground and pound from side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is just content to waste time from the top position. Drago takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Drago is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
Johnson postures up and lands a big shot to Drago's brow.
Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Drago has wrist control.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drago on the ground.
Johnson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Johnson stands and throws Drago's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Johnson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Drago is rocked!
Johnson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Drago is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Johnson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
