The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry slips under a jab.
Perry tries for a takedown but Nagaraya circles away easily

and Nagaraya counters with a crisp one two that drops Perry! Nagaraya thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Perry to his feet! Perry is in big trouble!
Nagaraya looks to land a right hand but Perry moved out of range.
Perry avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Perry slips a jab from Nagaraya.
Perry slips a straight right by Nagaraya.

Nagaraya lands a big uppercut and Perry crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Perry looks OK. Nagaraya waves Perry back to his feet!

Perry is rocked!

It looks like Nard Perry has been cut.
Yohan Nagaraya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nagaraya throws a hook to the side of Perry's head but Perry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oh Perry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perry tries to clinch but Nagaraya moves out of range.
Perry gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Nagaraya points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Perry wakes up just in time to hear Nagaraya thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

and Penn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Abel throws a poor cross that misses
and Penn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Penn throws a hook but Abel blocks it.
Penn cracks Abel with a right hand to the side of the head.
Abel takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Penn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Abel circles away quickly and effectively.
Penn throws a right and a left that Abel avoids nicely.
Penn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Penn slaps away a takedown attempt from Abel, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nice straight punches there by Penn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Penn.

Penn lands with a shot to the body.
Abel doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Penn counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kanan Abel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Abel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Abel misses with a double jab.
Abel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Penn slips a straight right by Abel.
Penn misses with a series of wild punches.

Penn sends Abel crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Penn is motioning to the referee to let Abel up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Abel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Penn has closed the distance and engaged Abel in a clinch.
Abel seems to have got his legs back now.
Penn lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Abel backwards.
Abel is looking to take this one to the mat.

Abel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Abel appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Penn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Penn batters Abel with a massive right followed by a huge left! Abel is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Penn lands a final crushing right hand to drop Abel to the mat with a gruesome thud! Penn is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
