Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Davos Kung (ranked 8481 p4p, 619 weight class) and Devin Watkins (ranked 8236 p4p, 612 weight class). Watkins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: What Happened to That Boi. Davos Kung had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watkins throws a right and a left that Kung avoids nicely.
Watkins slaps away a takedown attempt from Kung, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kung rushes Watkins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Watkins misses with an elbow strike.
Kung has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Watkins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Watkins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
