The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reaves.
Reaves checks a leg kick nicely.
Reaves tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jyre defends well and Reaves ends up having to push Jyre into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Reaves tries for a takedown but Jyre sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Besy Jyre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Reaves.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

No joy there for Jyre, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reaves sizes up Jyre with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jyre throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reaves sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jyre throws a leg kick but Reaves moved away.

Reaves feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jyre feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Reaves sprawling to the canvas! Reaves rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jyre finish him?!

Reaves is rocked!
Jyre cracks Reaves's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Reaves slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Jyre can do further damage! This one is done, son!
