The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paul darts in and clinches Banks up against the cage.
Banks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Paul is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Paul lands a body punch in the clinch.

Paul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Paul breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Paul moves into range and clinches up with Banks.
Paul misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Banks using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Paul has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Banks has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Paul is landing a low percentage of strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Paul. Banks does a little dance to reset his feet.

Banks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Paul uses from the top position.
