With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chuck Pennilla!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pennilla fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pennilla shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sochek defends it nicely.

Pennilla changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sochek looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pennilla shoots in looking for a takedown but Sochek manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pennilla's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sochek moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Pennilla throws a sloppy head kick and Sochek moves out of range easily.
Sochek fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sochek looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pennilla wants to counter with a clinch but Sochek pushes him away.
Pennilla dodges the punch combination from Sochek.
Pennilla is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

letting Sochek counter with a right hand.

Sochek works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pennilla tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sochek sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pennilla somewhat.
Pennilla has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sochek finds it's way round the side to connect with Pennilla's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sochek, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
