These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Patton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Patton looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Diddlybottom has hold of Patton's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Patton seems comfortable defending it but Diddlybottom has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Patton is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Patton is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Diddlybottom couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Milktoast Diddlybottom!
Milktoast Diddlybottom decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated George Patton had this to say: 'I'd like to thank my opponent, and apologize to the fans.'.

Main event

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Grimson (ranked 605 p4p, 24 weight class) and Jimi Powell (ranked 764 p4p, 30 weight class). Grimson comes to the cage accompanied by Omerta - Lamb of God. The crowd seem to be enjoying Powell's choice of entrance music: 8 Mile. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

A lazy left from Powell finds it's target.
Grimson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Powell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Grimson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Guerrilla MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Powell closes the distance and clinches.
Grimson working the clinch nicely. Powell is working for position but Grimson cracks him with a big knee to the head! Powell crumples up against the cage and Grimson lands two more shots before the ref can save Powell! This one is all over!
