Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Crazy Boco (ranked 23519 p4p, 750 weight class) and Tama Tonga (ranked 23489 p4p, 768 weight class). Boco comes into the arena with Crazy Nights blaring out of the sound system. Tonga is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lockjaw . Crazy Boco could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tama Tonga 's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Crazy Boco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tama Tonga !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tonga tries to avoid it but Boco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tonga to the ground. Tonga escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tonga tries to counter by closing the distance.

Tonga shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boco's guard.
Tonga working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Boco's head.
Tonga stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tonga stays in close to Boco's body and controls the position.
Boco wants to stand up but Tonga is controlling him.
Tonga tries to stand but Boco is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tonga drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tonga jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tonga wants to control but Boco is keeping him busy.

Tonga is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boco knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tonga tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tonga has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Boco takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Tonga wants to stand but Boco has his arm trapped.

Boco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tonga 's waist but Tonga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boco off to one side.

Boco tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tonga cranks the arm and Boco screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Boco, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Tama Tonga !
Tama Tonga decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Gunnar buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gunnar slips a jab from Buckshank.
Gunnar connects with a leg kick. Buckshank looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gunnar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Adam Gunnar has been cut.

Buckshank lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gunnar circles away quickly and effectively.
Despite the aggression on Gunnar's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Buckshank has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gunnar.
Buckshank throws a lazy right hand but Gunnar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gunnar has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gunnar drops Buckshank with a beautiful combination! Buckshank stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gunnar is looking for the KO!

It looks like Ozamataz Buckshank has been cut.
Buckshank throws a nice looking combination but Gunnar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gunnar drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Buckshank right on the button. Buckshank goes down! Gunnar follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Gunnar gets the win via TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox misses with a body shot.
The Blitz misses with a leg kick.
Knox throws an ugly left hook that misses

and The Blitz counters with a shoot takedown. Knox fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Blitz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Knox to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Knox shrugs it off.
Knox is looking to improve his position but The Blitz isn't that keen on the idea.

The Blitz is working for a rear naked choke. Knox is not defending it well and The Blitz has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Knox refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Knox's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Jose The Blitz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
