The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sykes gets tackled into the cage by Chatham. Chatham maintains the clinch.

Sykes fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Chatham pushes Sykes back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chatham lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sykes.

Chatham lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Sykes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chatham fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sykes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chatham walks away with a smile on his face. Sykes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sykes is breathing heavily.

Chatham darts in and clinches Sykes up against the cage.
Chatham lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Sykes has been working on his balance at Roosters Coop, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Chatham.

Chatham throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sykess head.

Oh Sykes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chatham has a couple of punches blocked by Sykes.

Chatham creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Sykes with a big uppercut! Sykes tries to clinch up but Chatham pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Sykes to the mat! Sykes covers up and Chatham unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Savilo or perhaps it was just good defense by Schumacher, which made it look bad.
Schumacher tries to clinch up but Savilo circles away and keeps his distance.
Savilo thows a body kick. Schumacher tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Savilo scores with a kick to the midsection.
Savilo misses with a takedown
and Schumacher counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Savilo leaves Schumacher with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Savilo shoots in for a takedown but Schumacher shows good takedown defense.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Savilo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Savilo can't keep his opponent in guard - Schumacher advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

It looked like Savilo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

As Savilo backs off Schumacher throws a huge counter combo but Savilo manages to avoid it all.

Savilo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schumacher's waist but Schumacher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Savilo off to one side.
Savilo shoots in for a takedown but Schumacher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Savilo is trying to trip Schumacher. He has hold of a leg but Schumacher is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Savilo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Savilo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Savilo wants to finish this one by submission but Schumacher is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Savilo.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Savilo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schumacher looks a forlorn figure.

Well Savilo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Qary content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Luvic has locked up a guillotine! Luvic's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Qary is holding on here and Luvic must be using up a lot of energy. Qary has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Luvic gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
