Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazuma Kuwabara (ranked 3315 p4p, 436 weight class) and Papa Dee (ranked 8614 p4p, 744 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kuwabara might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kazuma Kuwabara Theme. Papa Dee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee ducks under a wild hook from Kuwabara.
Kuwabara lands a nice hook to Dee's body. Dee takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kuwabara lands a nice shot to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Kuwabara. Those never looked like landing.
Kuwabara scores with a hook.
Dee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Papa Dee has been cut.

and Kuwabara counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kuwabara drops back looking for a leg! Dee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dee manages to kick Kuwabara off! Kuwabara jumps back into Dee's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kuwabara is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kuwabara drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kuwabara has Dee in his guard.

Kuwabara throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dee escapes and throws Kuwabara's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kuwabara sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Kuwabara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kuwabara.

Dee is sitting in close to Kuwabara's body. Kuwabara has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Dee is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Dee is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kuwabara.

A less than humble Kazuma Kuwabara misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Some wild striking there from Mkubwa.
Stewart tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mkubwa manages to circle out of the way.
Mkubwa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Mkubwa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mkubwa lands with a straight right. Stewart didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Ricardo Stewart has been cut.
Mkubwa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stewart gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Stewart tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Mkubwa is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Stewart buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Stewart!! Stewart is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Mkubwa throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
