It looked like Miller wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Larry Miller.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terranova misses with a left hand

and Loureiro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Terranova's guard.
Loureiro has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Terranova wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Loureiro manages to pass to side control.

Loureiro prevents Terranova from standing back up.
Loureiro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Terranova!

Terranova somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Terranova ducks right into an uppercut from Loureiro.
Terranova has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Loureiro finds it's way round the side to connect with Terranova's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Loureiro just misses with a punch to the body.

Loureiro cracks a nice hook into Terranova's ribs.
Terranova connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Terranova gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Loureiro pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A nice side step and Terranova releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Loureiro ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Terranova misses with a straight right.
Terranova moves out of range of the strikes.
It seemed like Terranova was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Terranova misses with an uppercut.

Terranova tries to sprawl but Loureiro drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Terranova is trying to stand back up but Loureiro is controlling him

Loureiro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Loureiro wants to take a breather but Terranova is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loureiro has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Loureiro tries to control but Terranova wriggling away.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Terranova tries to buck Loureiro off but he can't manage it.
Terranova felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Terranova wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Loureiro has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Terranova taps furiously! This one is all over!
