Gloom leaves Dassler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gloom stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gloom wants it to stay on the feet.

Gloom throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dassler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gloom is in Dassler's guard.

Gloom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dassler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gloom has managed to get both his arms back between Dassler's legs - danger averted.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
