The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cook looks to land a left hand but Edgar moved out of range nicely.
Edgar wants to slow Cook down by chopping away at his legs.
Edgar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cook circles away quickly and effectively.
Edgar dodges the punch combination from Cook.
Cook moves into range and connects with a jab.
Edgar misses with a low kick.
Edgar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cook fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Edgar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cook moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cook uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Frankie Edgar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edgar has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Edgar there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Cook has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Cook cracks Edgar with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Edgar falls to his knees and Cook doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
