The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mikson.
Wood tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Mikson has the hooks in. Wood is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wood is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mikson is looking to control Wood but Wood is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Mikson is looking for the choke from the back position but Wood is controlling his hands well.

We've been hearing good reports from Mikson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rene Schweidler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian Eduardo Demaestri.
Schweidler wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Schweidler lands a big head kick that sends Demaestri tumbling to the mat! Schweidler takes a step backwards and waves Demaestri back to his feet - he wants the finish!
We've been told by Schweidler's head coaches at Fight Hard that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Demaestri gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Schweidler points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Demaestri wakes up just in time to hear Schweidler thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

and Cooley counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!

Hard Hands is pulling down on El Parton's head. It's preventing any offense from El Parton, at least for the moment.

Hard Hands bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of El Parton's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Alberto El Parton will probably get the nod.

El Parton shoots in looking for a takedown but Hard Hands manages to keep the fight standing, pushing El Parton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

El Parton goes for a double leg but Hard Hands avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Hard Hands continues to drive forward.

El Parton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
