The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mkubwa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Magalhaes in his tracks.
Magalhaes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like Paulo Magalhaes has been cut.
Magalhaes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mkubwa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Magalhaes shoots in but Mkubwa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mkubwa connects with a looping right hand.
Magalhaes shoots for a takedown but Mkubwa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bwana Mkubwa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Magalhaes.

Loco thuds a left hand into Bardakci's body.
Loco connects with a solid leg kick.
Bardakci tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Loco connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Loco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bardakci's calf.

so Bardakci counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bardakci slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bardakci is working to tighten his grip on Loco's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Loco has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bardakci is really squeezing tight and eventually Loco passes out! Bardakci breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Nazim Bardakci!
After the fight, Nazim Bardakci was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Drillon throws a right hand that Schmidt ducks under and follows up with a left that Schmidt also avoids with ease.

Schmidt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Drillon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Schmidt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Schmidt lands with an uppercut that bounces Drillon off the cage and back into range.

Schmidt lands with a big left! Drillon is wobbled badly! Schmidt comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Drillon to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Derrick drops Durant with a beautiful combination! Durant stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Derrick is looking for the KO!

Derrick and Durant are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Derrick throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Durant into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Derrick knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Emil Derrick gave a mention to Phantom Fightwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).

and Mo counters with a shoot takedown. Sugg fights it but they end up in guard.

Mo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sugg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sugg wants to sweep here but Mo controlling him for the moment.
Mo wants to pass the guard but Sugg is keeping the position.

Sugg wants to stand and escape but Mo is having none of it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mo stays in close to Sugg's body and controls the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bigg Sugg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sugg shoots in looking for a takedown. Mo tries to sprawl out of it but Sugg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Mo cracks a nice hook into Sugg's ribs.
Mo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sugg is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Mo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sugg quickly recovers to half guard.

Mo prevents Sugg from improving his position.

Mo is taking a breather. Sugg says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Mo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sugg is just riding it out for now. Mo eventually gives up the hold.

Sugg on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sugg tries to get out of the position.

Mo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mo passes Sugg's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Sugg moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Mo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Che Huu Mo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
