The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendragon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ocho circles away quickly and effectively.
Pendragon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Pendragon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ocho as he jumps to the side.
Pendragon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ocho will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ocho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pendragon.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zacharius Pendragon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ocho wants to slow Pendragon down by chopping away at his legs.
Ocho scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Pendragon is breathing heavily.
Pendragon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ocho digs a good hook to Pendragon's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ocho fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pendragon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ocho attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Pendragon walks into a stiff left hand from Ocho.
Ocho tries to land a leg kick but Pendragon saw it coming and moves away.
Ocho throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Pendragon stumbling backwards into the cage! Pendragon bounces back off the cage towards Ocho, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Ocho lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Ocho celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Eoin Duff will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Duff here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Duff dives in and grabs brewer's left leg, looking for a takedown. brewer pushes down on Duff's head and hops out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eoin Duff.
Well Duff has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Smithsonian parries the strikes from Pounder easily there. Pounder is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Smithsonian to escape.

Pounder cracks Smithsonian with a big right hand but Smithsonian just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Pounder thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smithsonian's head.

Pounder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smithsonian on the ground.
Pounder is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Smithsonian is hurt! He's hurt bad - Pounder fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Smithsonian from any more punishment! Congratulations to Pounder! Great finish!

Camozzi tries for a takedown but Zar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Zar shoots in for a double leg but Camozzi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Zar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Doe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blatt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice takedown defense from Doe. No joy for Blatt on that attempt.

Blatt stalks Doe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Doe's face. Doe staggers backwards, shaken.

Blatt throws a left and a right that both miss
and Doe counters with a nice uppercut.
Doe cracks the inside of Blatt's front leg.
Doe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Blatt takes a swing at Doe's ribcage but misses.
Blatt connects with a jab.
Blatt ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Doe throws a quick inside leg kick.
Blatt lands a right hook to the body.

and Blatt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Doe looks to score with a jab to the body but Blatt is just out of range.

Blatt takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Blatt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doe swivels and escapes.
Blatt leaves Doe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Doe thows a body kick. Blatt tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Blatt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Doe but Doe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Doe feints and then cracks Blatt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blatt down.
Blatt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Blatt counters with a single leg into guard. Doe didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blatt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Doe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Blatt, into his guard.

Blatt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blatt tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Doe manages to move to mount!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jon Doe.
I think Doe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
