Pereira anticipates the leg and manages to get behind May and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Pereira slips an arm under May chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Pereira has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Pereira is squeezing on May like an anaconda would it's prey. May fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Knox has chosen Marilyn Manson | The Fight Song as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gamma Knox was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gamma Knox!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox tries to clinch up.
Knox takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Knox gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Gamma Knox has been cut.
Kaalee cracks a nice hook into Knox's ribs.
Knox bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kaalee stalks Knox and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knox's face. Knox staggers backwards, shaken.
Mr Kaalee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kaalee drops Knox with a big left hand and mounts him. Knox is in big trouble!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Knox is trying desperately to improve position.

Kaalee is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Knox can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kaalee looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Kaalee mounts Knox! Really nice guard pass there!
Kaalee wants to control the pace but Knox is squirming around nicely.

Kaalee is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Knox has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Knox!

Kaalee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kaalee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knox swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Knox controls Kaalee momentarily but Kaalee frees himself.

Kaalee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knox is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knox has escaped and now he's on top!

Kaalee is looking to cinch up a triangle. Knox throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kaalee's body to avoid the submission. Kaalee has instead reached around Knox's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kaalee arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mr Kaalee!

Bala lands with a shot to the body.
Hudson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bala as he avoids it easily.
Hudson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bala defends it nicely.
Bala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hudson moves away.
Bala scores with a nice strike.
Bala dips to his left and cracks Hudson with an uppercut!
Bala scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hudson doesn't seem bothered though.
Sloppy strikes from Hudson. Those never looked like landing.
Hudson dives in for a single leg takedown but Bala sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Saho Bala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Hudson.
Bala fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hudson on the side of the head.
Bala drops Hudson with a naaaaasty hook - Hudson is in real trouble here! Bala dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Saho Bala!

A very excited looking Saho Bala made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
