The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chao closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mann circles away.
Mann lands a nice hook to Chao's body. Chao takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Chao changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mann looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chao has control of Mann's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mann regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Chao swings around for an armbar but Mann sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Chao's guard.

Mann throws a combination. Chao tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Mann lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mann.

Mann steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Chao's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Chao just didn't come prepared.

Blade moves in looking to clinch but Pieru pushes him off.
