The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smash goes for a double leg but Velvet avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Velvet continues to drive forward.
Velvet throws a right hand that Smash ducks under and follows up with a left that Smash also avoids with ease.

Smash fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Velvet sprawls well initially but Smash persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Smash seems to be working for a kimura but Velvet defends the submission attempt.
Smash throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Smash trying to control from half guard but Velvet is working away.
Velvet really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smash might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Velvet haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Velvet makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Velvet.

Velvet isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Smash stacks Velvet on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smash!

Velvet tries to keep at a distance but Smash has taken the fight into the clinch.

Smash drops his hands for a split second and Velvet immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Smash face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Velvet follows up with a right hand that knocks Smash into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Bigboy fails to land the takedown.
Hines Jr bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bigboy's head.

Bristow can't hide his disappointment, as Kong celebrates the victory.
