Saraste postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sauced in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sauced to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixie Small!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ambrose Chisholm!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Small tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chisholm counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Small lands with a straight right. Chisholm didn't see that one coming.
Small throws an overhand right that lands on Chisholm's shoulder, as Chisholm tries to avoid the shot.
Small slips a straight right by Chisholm.
Chisholm takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Chisholm looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Chisholm staying out of range there.
Small swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Chisholm counters with an outside leg kick.
Chisholm looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Small connects with a nice looking jab.
Chisholm throws the left hand but Small avoids the punch easily.
Small misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Chisholm gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Small to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Chisholm has his feet on Small's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Chisholm scores with a nice strike.
Chisholm throws a sloppy head kick and Small moves out of range easily.
Small throwing a counter right hand but Chisholm manages to avoid it.
Small moves forwards but Chisholm connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Chisholm misses with an uppercut

and Small counters with a single leg into guard. Chisholm didn't expect that.
Small wants to pass the guard but Chisholm is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Small trying to control but Chisholm is working from the bottom.
Small postures up in Chisholm's guard and throws a big left but Chisholm blocks it.
Small stands up over Chisholm, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chisholm is on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chisholm wants to stand but Small is controlling his posture from full guard.

Small is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chisholm is aware though and is defending well.

Small is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Small wants to improve his position but instead Chisholm has moved into half guard.
Chisholm controlling the pace.
Chisholm is continuing to stall.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chisholm prevents Small from improving his position.
Small is working hard here to advance position.
Chisholm frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Small regains half guard.
Chisholm is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Chisholm wants to control the pace but Small is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Small closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Small lands in his opponent's guard.

Chisholm pushes Small off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Chisholm keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chisholm looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Small is looking for a kimura but Chisholm is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Small to get the leverage.
Chisholm manages to get to full guard.
Chisholm lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Small looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Chisholm is defending well. Small quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Chisholm has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Small celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
