The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zappa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bailey pinned against the cage. Bailey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bailey keeps the fight on the outside.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bailey!

It looks like Frank Zappa has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zappa.
Bailey looks to land a combination but Zappa avoids it well.
Bailey backing away here, and Zappa unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Zappa is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Bailey moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Cooke wants the takedown. Doniecki is fighting it off but Cooke persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Doniecki's guard against the cage.

You get the feeling that Doniecki really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Cooke pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doniecki can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thor walks straight into a right hand from Lowe - that's dropped him! Lowe jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Thor from any more punishment! Thor complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
