The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Girard slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Boran Aslan has been cut.
Girard feints and then cracks Aslan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aslan down.
Girard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aslan manages to avoid it.
Aslan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Girard finds it's way round the side to connect with Aslan's head.
Girard connects with a good right hand that stumbles Aslan. Aslan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Aslan walks into a stiff left hand from Girard.

Girard moves into the clinch successfully.
Girard tries to throw a body punch but Aslan avoids it by throwing Girard back against the cage.
Girard softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Girard lands a left hand that snaps the head of Aslan backwards.
Aslan displaying some good clinch control by pressing Girard up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Abel with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Metharom to score with a decent uppercut.

Metharom moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Metharom throws a leg kick which misses Abel's front leg but catches the back leg as Abel tries to avoid it.

Abel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

As Metharom looks to move away, Abel throws a big counter combo but Metharom just gets out of the way.
Metharom throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
