Kaku has hold of Ross's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ross manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kaku lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Ross working to try and regain half guard.
Kaku looking to control but Ross is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luther Ross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ross.
Kaku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ross's waist but Ross gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kaku off to one side.
Ross looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ross lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kaku circles away quickly and effectively.
Kaku on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ross. Ross obviously looking to wear him down.
Ross lands with a right hand.
Ross scores with a jab to the jaw.
A cross from Ross lands.
Kaku's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ross connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kaku scrambles back to his feet.
Jab, jab by Ross - just one landing.
Kaku tries for a takedown but Ross sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kaku takes one on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ross scores with a jab. Kaku acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kaku goes for a double leg but Ross avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ross continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michio Kaku. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross lands with a straight right. Kaku didn't see that one coming.
Ross shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kaku eats them both and turns towards Ross to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kaku looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross leaves Kaku with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nice body punch from Ross.
Kaku gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Ross gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luther Ross!
