More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Karhu from any more punishment! Karhu complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Higuchi shoots for a double leg takedown but Laponov sprawls well. He's pushed Higuchi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Laponov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
