The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pfeiffer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Franco sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pfeiffer somewhat.
Franco throws a series of punches but Pfeiffer avoids them all with ease.
Franco connects with a body shot.

Pfeiffer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Franco manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pfeiffer tries to free his leg and advance position but Franco is retaining full guard.
Pfeiffer postures up and lands a big shot to Franco's brow.
Pfeiffer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Franco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pfeiffer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pfeiffer won't allow Franco to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pfeiffer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Franco is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Franco wants to get back to his feet but Pfeiffer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pfeiffer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Franco can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pfeiffer controls the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Franco wants to clinch but Pfeiffer slips to the side

and Pfeiffer counters with a single leg into guard. Franco didn't expect that.
Pfeiffer lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Franco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pfeiffer passes into half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pfeiffer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Pfeiffer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Franco wants to control but Pfeiffer is keeping busy.
Franco has hold of Pfeiffer's hands but Pfeiffer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pfeiffer slips a nice elbow through Franco's hands, connecting with Franco's forehead.
Pfeiffer drops an elbow to the side of Franco's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pfeiffer lands a nice short elbow.
Still in half guard, Pfeiffer seems content to control.
Pfeiffer is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The referee warns Franco that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Jesus Franco has been cut.

Kenobi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kenobi swinging wildly here.
Ali dives in for a single leg takedown but Kenobi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kenobi cracks Ali with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Carisshololojoka Ali has been cut.
Ali throws a looping overhand right but Kenobi ducks down to avoid it.
Kenobi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kenobi lands a big right hand that sends Ali crashing to the mat! Kenobi stays standing though and waves Ali back to his feet!

Ali is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kenobi throws a pinpoint strike between Ali's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Ali crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Kenobi scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Kenobi!
Ben Kenobi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
